I found a YouTube video about a guy who was camping out on a lake in Brazil. He saw a distant island he wanted to explore but he didn't have a boat. So he went to town and boat some PVC pipe and built a raft. That gave me the inspiration for my Duck Boat.
I purchased a twenty foot length of 8" PVC pipe for about $100 US. I then cut it in half. I made the cut on a slight angle so the stern could accommodate a rudder post.

The Duck Boat is still a work in progress. I did a test run in the water which unfortunately I didn't film. I got about a hundred feet and one of my homemade pedals broke off. I needed something better.

The bow was sealed up with 1/4" plywood and fiber glassed in place. The ducks are starting to take shape.
The stern was sealed with 1/4" plywood and fiber glassed in place. Here you can see the angle cut of the pipe. Notice the mounting bolts that were inserted through the top of the pipe before it was sealed.
